Chris Perry - Integrative Counsellor
I am an integratively trained counsellor, meaning I am able to draw from several different modalities and theories of counselling and psychotherapy. My current work is centred around my private practice, working in mental health support, and counselling work for a local charity. These combined roles allow me to work as a counsellor with the additional experience of working with individuals suffering from ‘specific mental health issues’.
I provide a safe and accepting environment for my clients to foster growth and healing. Through trust and understanding, and a genuine caring for each and every client, I help them explore their feelings and make connections that lead to personal change.
I am qualified to degree level in counselling, and I continue with my academic career and research as part of my personal journey. My academic learning allows me to draw from proven theories of counselling and psychotherapy and its evolution, enabling my work to be informed by evidenced psychological philosophies.
By integrating various informed techniques into my practice, I ensure clients can safely unpack painful memories and experiences. I am committed to continuous education and work with other professional to provide the best self-care possible, enabling me to offer my clients the best possible service.
